Depression is a mood disorder that interferes with one's daily life and causes distress for both you and those who care about you. It makes it tough to function and enjoy your day-to-day life. You can no longer work, study, eat, sleep and enjoy life like you once did. Some even experience depression that is like living in "a black hole".

The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged [Deuteronomy 31:8]

Depression subjects you to a harsh, painful and tense reality privately which for reasons like being judged and labeled as lazy and weak you chose not to reveal even to the closest person in your life.

For a believer, God promises to preserve you when you go through dark times especially depression.

2When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you go through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched; the flames will not set you ablaze.[Isaiah 43:2]

God's presence will provide you with the much-needed emotional, mental, and spiritual company during those anguish private depression moments. 

Here are the 4 specific ways God assures you of His presence

01-He will Go Ahead of You

God sees your end from the beginning. This makes him a perfect companion because He will foresee what is coming ahead in your life before you ever do, and based on what it is, He will sometimes hold your hand to walk with you side by side or hide you completely in His pinions .according to Psalms 91:4, so you do not see what was coming until you are passed it.

02-He will be with You

His presence is there with you and guarantees you peace that surpasses all understanding even through the emotional and mental anguish as you battle those negative thoughts. His presence will train you how to battle to overcome the NEGATIVE thoughts using the full armor of God -2 Cor 10:4

03-He will Never Leave You

You are in Him and Him in you. Where He is you are. Thanks to the new birth you received through His begotten Son Jesus Christ. Even if you wanted to get out you can't because He is committed to being true to His word.

04-He will Never Forsake You

You are His. Your earthly living is just but a short stopover. You are destined to finally live with Him in heaven's abode. Therefore do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. What you are going through is temporary. Soon you are getting your emotional, mental, and spiritual health restored.
